English Abstract
In this thesis, characterizations of paracompactness are discussed.
We study several relations between the terminologies of these characterizations (Chapter Two).
We go through various characterizations of paracompactness in terms of locally finite, ϭ - locally finite, partitions of unity, strongly screenable refinement, cushioned refinement, ϭ- cushioned refinement, closure-preserving, ϭ - closure-preserving open and closed refinement, local star-refinement via the sequences (Chapter Three).
Moreover, we study characterizations of paracompact spaces using directed cover, monotone cover, interior-preserving covers (ordered covers), and we develop most of the proofs of the stated theorems (Chapter Four).
