English Abstract
This thesis presents a full discussion of the theory and applications of MC-CDMA system.
The effect on bit error probability by varying the number of users and processing gain of the system over Rayleigh fading channel was introduced.
Further, the performance of the system with multiple access interference and noise were analyzed.
The probability of bit error versus numbers of users for different EbjNo was computed.
The effect of varying processing gain was observed on BER for fixed number of users and a particular Ebj No.
The effect of Rayleigh fading channel on BER was also observed in the thesis.
Although, a lot of papers have been dedicated for the bit error rate analysis of MC-CDMA system.
These works, using linear receiver, employing FFT devices to avoid complexity.
In our work, MC-CDMA signal is received using matched filter receiver which is more complicated than linear receiver but achieve better performance in terms of Pe.
This is verified by comparing the thesis results with the results of Jean Paul [14].
The new contribution is an extension of the mathematical modeling for MC-CDMA, which not only allows better simulation, but also provides better results.
Hence, expressing the performance of MC-CDMA over Rayleigh channel in mathematical model relative to the nondispersive additive white gausian noise (AWGN) linear time invariant (LTI) channel.
