Abstract EN

The low efficiency of solar cells is one of the long standing problems facing scientists.

Thus one needs to search for new solar cell types by increasing their light absorbitivity as well as the output current.

A solar cell in the form of a nano waveguide can perform this task.

Since the design of such cell is difficult, one can utilize the ordinary waveguide to study the characteristics of nano solar cells.

In this work an experiment was designed to see how the output current and absorbitivity of the waveguide and nano solar cells are affected by the frequency.

The results of the experiment showed that, the absorbitivity and the output current increased as the frequency of the current increased.
