We are faithfully striving, in sha- Alla, in this paper to present a historical overview on mathematics from an Islamic perspective.

This is attributed to the fact that mathematics is the core subject of numbers and digits, and thus the mother of all other sciences.

The end result of the paper is to acquaint scholars with a clear vision about the interest of Islam in mathematics in order to make Muslims feel genuinely proud of the greatness of their religion and the messenger of Allah, Muhammad ibn abd Allahpeace be upon him.
