Abstract EN

This paper deals with the ways and means by which the television programs affect the values and behavior of the Arab television viewers.

The paper summarizes the effects of these programs into five main ways: behavioral change, media mind management, ideological effects, commercial advertising and innovative change of value systems of the masses in the Arab world.

On its experimental side, the paper discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the Arab TV, satellite stations via the use of the content analysis of the programs broadcast by these stations to the Arab viewers.

Thus, the study recommends that television should concentrate in the propagation of its vital educational role and encourage the programs that enhance the values of the community and satisfy the expectations of the masses in the Arab world.
