Abstract EN

Displacement or Dislodgment stylistics focuses on tracing and analysis of sudden behaviour of linguistic units, which are peculiar to the context.

This stylistics is rarely used in critical discourse, in spite of its great role of discovering the text and its meaning through stylistic analysis.

This research aims, in its theoretical frame, to study the basic concepts of dislodgment stylistics by studying the nature of these dislodgments, context of the text or the standard, and the objections which have been directed to this stylistics, where as in Practice, this study tries to apply these concepts on the novel entitled" Asafir Akhir Ayam Alkhref" by Ahmed Hammed Almalik, a Sudanese novelist.

The entire texts of his books are a fertile field for studying dislodgment stylistics, for many merits that have been revealed by this study.

The results of the study have shown that the mechanism of dislodgment has done good service to literary texts written by Ahmed Almalik.
