Private universities in the Arab countries represent relatively a new experience of the modern age.
These universities witness, in the most recent yours, a steady growth and widespread dissemination.
Also, these universities cast profound reflection on the Arab media.
In addition, these universities are rendering invaluable contributions in the twin areas of training and higher education.
Last but not the least, these universities are exercising both kinds of impact _____ positive and negative _____ on the Arab communities.
Arab world is now experiencing a new development _____ privatization of higher education.
This development has witnessed a new horizon of intellectual importance.
Both national and foreign private universities have entered in the arena with competitive spirit.
Their appearance coincide the problems encountered by the government – operated universities.
The latter find at dilemma the ever-increasing applicants for admission to the various programs of curricula.
The new revolution _____ Information Revolution _____ has attracted an unmitigated rise of new students to improve their educational capabilities.
Even on this score, the Government-operated universities find deficient to meet the emerging challenge.
Private universities, thus, appear a blessing in disguise.
These universities, in the large part, are equipped with new opportunities.
Among the latter, the most salient is open education.
This eases the passage of their students to gain better future career jobs.
Nevertheless, the academicians and Arab intellectuals associated with private universities entertain divergent viewpoints on the potential value offered by such universities.
Their divergence is the consequence of the diversity of intellectual – cultural orientation they have gained at foreign universities at the higher education stage.
