English Abstract

In this thesis we discuss several basic concepts in matroid theory in general and we concentrate on closure matroids and uniform matroids.

We define new types of matroids.

Moreover, several new matroid sets and mappings are introduced and explored and a new decomposition of strong maps is provided.

Finally, we discuss new separations axioms on matroids.
