English Abstract

In this thesis we discuss the basic concepts in matroid theory in general and relations between matroids and topological spaces in particular.

It is well-known that the two notions are independent we find necessary and sufficient conditions for a matroid to be a topological space and necessary and sufficient conditions for a topological space to be a matroid.

In fact, we concentrate on closure matroids and uniform matroids.

Moreover, several well-known notions and facts in topological spaces are generalized to the matroids' case.
