Statistical study for influenza in Thi-Qar governorate Iraq 2010

The present study was designed to determine the number of infection of influenza in ThiQar governorate from the beginning of January till the ending of December 2010.

The total number of Influenza cases was 35455 and significant differences P ≤ 0.001 were recorded in the infection percentage of months and December was the highest month distribution 16.5 %, a significant differences were shown between age groups P≤0.01 and a high percentage of infection 34.3 % was found in age group 15-44 years which followed by 23.1 % in age group 5-14 years The high diffusion factor of Influenza was found in Al- Chebiash distinct 49.5 per thousand.
