English Abstract

The idea of this study was to help evaluating the ergonomic role in some of Jordanian industries and how to improve the productivity and employee's satisfaction, The main objective of the study was to enhance the workers performance by studying the worker's ergonomic factors at the work place and improving it.

The procedures used to achieve these objectives were : developing a questionnaire of the factors that fit the Jordanian conditions needed to be measured, and a statistical analysis to find results, conclusion and recommendations.

The study investigated major factories in the south of Jordan (Cement, Potash factories and two new clothes factories).

The study found that safety and security at work place variable scored the highest level of the respondent's answers with mean (3.0515), and found that work exhaustion and management satisfaction scored the lowest level with mean (2.4035).

The researcher noticed proximity between the Pearson's correlation of the management satisfaction, motivations and performance.

There was impact of the independent variables (worker's complaints, and rewards and motivations) on the worker's performance.

It is recommended that the management and employees should be aware of ergonomics.

Lt also emphasized on redesign of work place, machines, and environment under studies of ergonomic factors to improve workers condition, and enhancing the communication between management and employees.
