English Abstract

(CaxNii.xFe2C>4) ferrite powder were prepared using conventional ceramic method at 1100 C for 10 hours.

Structural properties for substituted system was studied using XRD and we observed that the lattice parameter (a) decreases for small x values (x = 0.1,05, 0.1), and then increases as x is increased (x=0.1- 0.4) and finally for x greater than 0.4 the lattice parameters are almost constant.

The samples X-ray density (dx) was estimated for all samples and we found that (dx) decreases with increasing x.

The initial &hysteresis curves were measured for all samples using VSM.

The initial permeability estimated from the initial curves increases for small x values (x = 0-0.15) and decreases for large x values.

Similar behavior was observed for saturation and eminence magnetization.
