English Abstract
The melting behavior of PEO was studied by differential scanning calorimeter and polarizing optical microscope equipped with hot stage supplied with photo monitor.
Upon isothermal crystallization the melting point temperature was found to increase with crystallization temperature Tc and molecular weight.
With the aid of the photo monitor and measuring the intensity of light during heating the sample, some of the properties such as reorganization of the formed structure during heating were explored, and it was found to depend on the molecular weight.
The thermal equilibrium melting temperature was calculated based on the crystallization kinetics for various molecular weights.
