English Abstract

Three new thiadiamidoerown ethers 19, 20, and 21 have been synthesized in a simple way and high yields.

These crown ethers were characterized by H-NMR, C-NMR and Mass spectrometry.

A Thermodynamic study of the complication of pb2+ and Ag+ ions with 19, Hg2+, pb2+ and Ag+ with 20, Ag+ with 21and pb2+ with both 22 and 23 in acetonitrile, has been carried out.

The study was conducted in the temperature range 288-308 K using a conduct metric technique in acetonitrile.

The observed molar conductivities, A, were found to decrease significantly for mole ratios [L] t / [M]t about unity.

A model involving 1:1 stoichiometry has been used to analyze the conductivity data.

The stability constant, K, for each 1:1 complex was determined from the conductivity data by using a nonlinear least squares curve fitting procedure.

The values of standard enthalpy change (AH0) and entropy change (AS°) for the complication reactions were evaluated from the slopes and intercepts of the van's Hoff plots respectively.

Standard Gibbs free energy change values (AG0) were calculated from the relationship AG° = AH0- T AS0.

The stability of the complexes of 19 and 20 are as follow : l-Ag+>pb2 + forl9.

2-Hg2 + >Ag + >pb2 + for20.
