English Abstract
Hantzsch method has been applied for the preparation of 4- (2-thienyl)-2-aminothiazoles, 2-amino-4- (5-chloro-2-thienyl) thiazoles, 4- (2, 5-dichloro-3-thienyl) -2-amino thiazoles, and their N-substituted derivatives. These compounds have been synthesized via condensation of 2- (chloro-acetyl) thiophene, 5-chloro-2-(chloroacetyl)thiophene, and 2, 5-dichloro-3-(chloroacetyl) thiophene respectively, with thioacetamide, thiourea, and N-Aromatic thiourea. The structures of the new compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, Mass, 1H- NMR, and 13C-NMR spectral data.
