English Abstract

-The research in this thesis used numerical appraisal as method of score penalty to determine the environmental type for dwelling units and districts in Al-Kut city.

To appraisal residential environment type in Al-Kut city, regular process of evaluation to random samples from dwelling units (198 samples) have been selected in four districts: Al-Kafa'at (57 samples), Hay Al-Rabee (57 samples), Al-Hokokeen (65 samples) and Al- Showwn (19 samples) to represent the factual residential environment for all city.

As one of the study requirement questionnaire form has been prepared contain all environmental aspects for dwelling units.

Another one prepared for outdoor environment that surround the dwelling units areas.

Then analysis data by appraisal method approved from (APHA) to get a required estimate appraisal for dwelling units and district for city.

Study shows the environment type for dwelling units could be consider as (good) for Al-Kafa'at district, (acceptable) for (Hay Al-Rabee, Al-Hokokeen and Al-Showwn) districts.

Sum of dwelling units and surrounding environment type could be consider as (acceptable) for (Al-Kafa'at, Hay Al-Rabee, and Al-Showwn) districts, (borderline) for Al-Hokokeen district.
