English Abstract

The research in this thesis presents a number of proposed cryptography algorithms using DNA properties.

The needs for robust cryptography algorithms and the ability of the DNA to store huge amounts of information leads to think of such algorithms making use of what discovered in DNA so far.

The first algorithm makes use of the gene in a DNA by using a theoretical gene to supply needed keys by the algorithm In the second and third algorithms, the fact that found in the DNA is that there is an active and not active segment in the DNA.

This fact is used here to store the original coded information in the active nucleotides.

The active nucleotides are chosen by the algorithm.

MRNA here does not carry the protein synthesis but an activation map instead with respect to the key sequence.

In the fourth algorithm the relations between the four nitrogenous bases {A, C, G, T) are used here.

The DNA molecule A is bound only with T and each one of them is the complement of dies other one.

The same thing goes for C and G.

The cipftertext produced by this algorithm holds information that express this relation with respect to the key sequence (the relation between a base from the plaintext and a base from the key).

Other algorithm introduced in this thesis is an extension to the three4rs algorithm.

The last algorithm introduced is Blowfish algorithm like but it works in DNA representation in four rounds instead of sixteen rounds.
