English Abstract

-In this research are considered the composites sample and applying an external force to make a small vibration or oscillation motion, where ten samples are prepared five of them contain a blend of styrene butadiene rubber with epoxy resin and the other five contain a blend of polysulfide rubber with the epoxy resin, the alumina powder as a reinforcing materials Al2O3 are also used.

Two types of ratio of blending sample are reinforced: 1- 5% blend of SBR+EP, reinforced with {5%, 15%, and 25%} volume fraction of Al2O3 2- 20% blend of SBR+EP, reinforced with {5%, 15%, and 25%} volume fraction of Al2O3 3- 5% blend of PSR+EP, reinforced with {5%, 15%25%} volume fraction of Al2O3 4- 20%blend of PSR+EP, reinforced with {5%, 15%, and 25%} volume fraction of Al2O3 This work includes subjecting composites samples to vibration or small oscillation, and determining the value of the damping which is the most important factor in this research, thus the damping factor is the first property that be known and to determined.

Also this work describe the effect of the reinforcing materials on the damping factor, and the effect of the blending on vibration damping that could occure due to an external forces such as a steel ball hummer or other external forces, and also to know the effect of the interfaces that would occure on the testing composites samples.

Finally this work concludes vibration damping on the composites samples due to this external force would occurred on the test samples during the vibration test.
