English Abstract

The aim of this thesis is develop of the mathematical model and a computer program to determine the limits of transient stability for electrical power network.

This work consists of three main parts.

The first part contains the development of a load flow program using fast decoupled method.

The second part is the transient stability analysis and programmings, the numerical solution of non-linear differential equations of transient stability are solved by using modified Euler method.

While the third part of the work is the application of the two programs were carried out on a simple test system of 9-bus bars, and on the Iraqi national network (400 KV) of 22-bus bars.

From the results obtained, the limits of transient stability can be determined by fault clearing time.

For, transient stability positions of 3-phase fault near bus bars in system.

The programmers that are used in this project are implemented by using (MATLAP) package.
