English Abstract
Digital communication has become an essential part of infrastructure nowadays, tots of applications are internet-based and in some cases it is desired that communication be made secret.
Consequently the security of information has become a fundamental issue. Steganography has its place in security.
Steganography is the art and science of hiding communication; Steganography systems thus embed hidden content in unremarkable cover media so as not to arouse an eavesdropper's suspicion. In this thesis, a method of steganography is introduced for hiding secret message in digital image, the proposed method uses Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) to embed a secret message with high data rate(0.065 dB) in Bit Mapped Image Format For Microsoft Windows (BMP) image of size (256 x 256) pixels and achieving high invisibility from the results obtained from Mean Square Error (MSB), and to achieve additional level of security, Petri Net (PN) encryption model used to encrypt the secret message before embedding.
