English Abstract

This work aims to develop a controller based on fuzzy logic to improve the operation of control circuit of the variable reluctance stepper motor derive.

The analysis and design of three types of fuzzy controllers to improve the response of the stepper motor speed were studied.

They are fuzzy proportional Integral (FPI) controller, fuzzy proportional Differential (FPD) controller, and fuzzy proportional Integral Differential (FPID) controller. A detailed analysis for the three above mentioned controller, along with a conventional one (open loop control), and a comparison between them are presented.

The motor speed response was the key quantity considered in this work.

The simullink package of the MATLAB, version 7 was used throughout this work.
