English Abstract

The Cryptography is the science and study of methods for protecting data in computer and communication systems from unauthorized disclosure and modification.

The public-key cryptosystem depends on the difficulties of solution of mathematical problems which are known as trap-door function that are simple to compute, but the inverse of this practically is invisible, such as the Discrete Logarithm Problem (DLP) and Integer Factorization Problem (IFF). This thesis provides the definition and mathematical characteristics of the DLP and IFP, gives the properties of construction of the cryptographic system depending on DLP and IFP, explain the famous public-key cryptosystems, such as ElGamal, RSA, McEliece public-key encryption, Knapsack public-key encryption. The RSA cryptosystem depend on the IFF and the ElGamal cryptosystem depend on the DLP.

using these two problems to propose cryptosystem depend on the IFP and DLP at the same time to increase the security of the cryptosystem.

On the other hand, a cipher system that use the symmetric and asymmetric concept in the same system is proposed. In this thesis, three modificated cryptosystem protocol have been proposed, the first two cryptosy stems depend on the IFP and DLP, and the other one cryptosystems depend on the symmetric and asymmetric concepts, compute the computational complexity of these methods compared to the original methods compare these methods with the original methods in running time of several messages have different sizes.
