English Abstract

These are exciting times.

A major shift is underway which will change the way the human race communicates, shares ideas and information, exchange messages, marketing and browsing.

The barriers of times and place are being removed in favor of the Internet which provide open communications and the free flow of ideas and beliefs.

Unfortunately the open communication network, Internet, has problems surrounding the security of the Internet sites.

Such as hacker intrusion costing organizations hundreds of thousands of money and untold losses in productivity ; hate groups using the Internet to distribute their malicious works to these sites, and many other types of attacks.

Fortunately, there are measures that can be taken to protect users from objectionable or inappropriate Internet content and secure the Internet sites from theft, modification, or deletion of data.

This study provide a proposed protection system for an Internet site.

This proposed system using the Firewall Protection System to protect the data and resources inside the protected site and protect the data during it travel over the Internet.

This research uses the Screened-Subnet firewall as architecture of the firewall because this architecture has high security and high efficiency to control the Direct and Dial up connections.

Also build a firewall has multilevel of security depend on regulate all the packets enter and leave the protected site by using high tight security policy depend on the six procedures.

These procedures are clean up the unused bits in Internet packet procedure, packet filtering procedure, encapsulation and de-encapsulation procedure, SYN/ACK checkup procedure, three handshaking proxy procedure, and application authenticity procedure.

All these procedures implemented internally to provide transparence firewall as possible as.

The proposed system applied on LAN has, according to what is available, four personal computers compatible with IBM, four network adapters for the Direct Connection, and two Modems for Dial up connection.
