English Abstract

The TV signal is one of the important objects that has great effect on the human life since it has socialite nature and no boundaries specially when the demands on the satellite channels are increased.

So, to use this type of signal in another important application like military or in the PAY-TV, since it has known frequencies, it travels through unsecured media and it can be received by any receiving TV system, A proposal named the " STONE " block cipher algorithm was considered to encode / decode this type of signal, distort and fad the TV image to be received by ordinary TV receiver, The STONE algorithm name inspired from the Holly Qur'an, revolution of al-Hijara, and the comb of the Stone. The main aims of the philosophy of the STONE block cipher algorithm designing were emphasized to reduce the temporal and spatial redundancies by decreasing the interframe and intraframe correlation using the prepare frame function.

Also, to avoid the Fiestal network weaknesses by whiting the half block of the frame which remain unchanged through the round with a randomize subkey. The algorithm was designed to be more resistance against the differential and linear cryptanalysis by using non-surjective depended key, large S-Roxes and made its mapping (7 x 4) bits.

The proposed algorithm depends on (one or four) key images, which is chosen from huge number of images.

The key image will never repeat through the encryption, hence this algorithm will work as a one-time pad system. The result of evaluation of the proposed algorithm deduced that this algorithm has avalanche against the brute force attack, The proposed algorithm is also depending on simple operation, only one image key, so the facility of transferring or storing this key is increased and no limitation in the key since it is possible to use any popular or personal photographs. The STONE block cipher is compatible with the NTSC or PAL TV receiver and there is no limitation to apply it with different pixel depth.
