English Abstract

Attenuation and distortion by corona of overvoltage suede's caused by sketching and lightning striking overhead lower transmission lines ; have to be adequately evaluated in order to predict outage taxing place in transmission lines and the rational initial on cootj5tnatton of power stations and substations equipment. The mailing and investigation of imflufncf of corona of over volt age surges, has deen the principal object of this work, the mull represents corona effet 9y a non-linear function of instantaneous voltage capacitance, which can obtained from the line geometry without the need to impulse test full scale line models, corona capacitance ts obtained from full computed q-y curve the model proposed used to calculate the propagation of surges on overhead lines including corona effects, by solving telegrapher's equations which will be non-linear partial differential equation as a result of corona effects-finite difference method is used to solve these equations.

Good agree me it is shown pet we en calculated and expehumerttal results available in liter a turf the model is applied to Baghdad- AL-oaim transmission line .
