English Abstract
The present work is focused towards a comprehensive evaluations and reanalysis of the foundation of Samarra Bridge.
The work was directed towards using (him AASHTO and the ACI code.
The design presented by MAUNSEEL CONSULTANTSLTD.LONDON AL-KVBA1SI & PARTNER BAGHDAD was based on BS 5400) Comparison is made between the proposed foundation using the two different specifications.
Reduction in foundation width and reinforcement was achieved while marginal increase in the thickness was observed.
