English Abstract

Witched capacitor (SC) filters have proven their high quality arid simplicity in the realization in integrated form.

They are now considered as one of the most success fill techniques in audio frequency applications.

Unfortunately this success has not been extended to high frequency applications because of the limitations in switches and MOS operational amplifiers.

This thesis is concerned with the new design techniques of NMOS and CMOS operational amplifiers that accommodate the high sampling frequency needed when higher signal frequency is to be processed.

Conventional NMOS operational amplifier is redesigned and modified to accommodate high frequency operation.

Various design techniques for CMOS operational amplifier are presented with high gain bandwidth product and low settling Lime.

These design techniques are based on the frequency compensation and output stage.

High frequency switched capacitor filters are simulated and designed.

These filters arc based on the use of the new designed operational amplifiers.

The simulated results show a good agreement with the specified prototype.
