English Abstract
Information concerning the electrical load is of critical importance for planning design, management a load forecasting reasons.
Present investigations appeal primarily Co the load behavior and characteristics of medium voltage distribution feeders operating specifically at 11 kV and supplying residential areas.
A very large amount of load data are gathered over a long period of lime fur several 33 / 11 kV .substations from the Baghdad Distribution Authorities and the computers available at the control centers (SMDCC).
The collected data are used in the determination of basic features and characteristics of various 11 kV feeders.
A mathematical forecasting model for load profiles for both hot and cold seasons are presented.
The accuracy and the predictability of proposed model are tested.
The effect of ambient temperature for both hot and cold seasons on load curves and peak power demand is found.
An empirical equation describing the relationship is submitted.
A relationship between peak load and energy consumption lord 11 kV feeders supplying various residential areas is determined.
An equation using curve fitting techniques is given
