تعني هذه الورقة بدراسة أداء و كفاءة العامل المحفز (حمض الترفليك) في إنتاج إيثيل البنزين عبر آلية انتقال مجموعة الإيثيل من المماكب ميتا– ثنائي إيثيل البنزين (m-DEB) إلى البنزين.

و قد أظهرت النتائج تحولا بنسبة % 57 مول لميتا–ثنائي إيثيل البنزين و انتقائية لإيثيل البنزين (EB) حوالي % 80 مول بنسبة مولية للمواد المتفاعلة 1:1 من البنزين : ميتا-ثنائي إيثيل البنزين عند درجة حرارة 35º م.

و قد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أيضا بأن حمض الترفليك فعال بوصفه مادة محفزة لإنتاج مردود عال من إيثيل البنزين عند درجة حرارة و ضغط منخفضين.

Abstract EN

The catalytic performance of trifluoromethanesulphonic acid (triflic acid) has been investigated for synthesis of methylbenzene (EB) by Tran's alkylation of m-diethyl benzene (m-DEB) isomer with benzene (B).

The maximum conversion of m-DEB (57 mol %) with selectivity to EB (80 %) was obtained with a 1 : 1 mole ratio at 35ºC.

The study has shown that the triflic acid is active as a catalyst and exhibited a high yield of ethyl benzene from methylbenzene at low temperature and atmospheric pressure.
