تمت - في هذه الورقة - دراسة نماذج عددية لمنطقة شمال البحرين الساحلية و دراسة المد و الجزر الهيدرودايناميكي على طول الساحل، حيث تم تطوير الأنموذج باستخدام رمز العناصر المحددة RAM2. و قد أعطيت شروط الحدود للأنموذج من حيث مستوى الماء تم استخراجها من جداول المد و الجزر في البحرين، و كذلك من أنموذج عددي واسع النطاق ثم تطويره منزليا و يقوم بتغطية ساحل البحرين كليا. إن المقارنة بين مستويات المياه و سرعات التيار التي تم احتسابها من دراسة الأنموذج العددي الحالي مع المنشورات المتوفرة قد أظهرت توافقا جيدا.

Abstract EN

The Northern Bahrain coastal area has been modeled and the tidal hydrodynamics along the coast are studied through a numerical modeling study.

The numerical model is developed using the finite-element code, RMA2.

The boundary conditions for the model are given in terms of water levels, which were extracted from the Tide Tables of Bahrain as well as from a large-scale numerical model developed in-house covering the entire coast of Bahrain.

A comparison between water levels and the current velocities estimated from the present numerical model study with available literature shows good agreement.

The details of the numerical scheme, model setup, and results are presented and discussed in this paper.
