Abstract EN

This research paper addresses the Arab European dialogue since its official beginning in 1975 till its end in 1994.

It explains the nature of the dialogue in light of the terminology of dialogue and conflict: It links the progress of this dialogue to the intellectual schools of international relations: the school of power and the school of mutual dependency.

After establishing the theoretical basis of the termg the researcher discusses the dialogue its initial state Moreover, the paper highlights the issues that each party focused on, the reasons behind the slow progress of the dialogue, in terms of the underlying maturations of the dialogue its failure, and the international attitudes forwards it The researcher concluded that the European party does not seek the dialogue, which is not equivalent, unless it feels that its interests are at risk in case of the availability of potential Arab strength and confrontation.
