The Iraqi economy depends primarily to finance the annual budget on oil revenues? which amount to 90%.

Note that the export of Iraqi oil since 2003 to 2007 ranged between 1-2 million barrels per day? therefore a draft law of oil and gas put forward in an attempt to increase production from the current undeveloped fields .This will be subject to production sharing contracts ? which is the most dangerous types of contracts represented by the participation of foreign companies in the ownership of oil and this contradicts the people's ownership of petroleum resources.

The aim of the study is to identify potential oil and to identify options in the area of production-sharing contracts and then determine the positive and negative impacts of the oil law in Iraq.
