The significance of soliloquy as a literary technique in Hamlet

In the tragedy of Hamlet by William Shakespeare, there are eleven soliloquies uttered by the protagonist of the play ''Hamlet", King Claudius and Ophelia.

In this paper, the emphasis will be on the soliloquies uttered by the central character of the play ''Hamlet" He said seven soliloquies, these soliloquies show the feelings, the tendencies and psychological aspects of Hamlet .

The reader will be familiar with the reasons which prevent Hamlet to take revenge , although the play is about revenge .

There are several opportunities to kill Claudius but Hamlet does not make use of them.

He is hesitant to take revenge although he is sure that his uncle is the murderer of his father.
