English Abstract

Inelastic longitudinal (Coulomb) and transverse (magnetic) electron scattering form factor of some odd parity, is scalar (T=0), and is vector (T=1) excited states of the closed shell nuclei 12C, 16O, and 40Ca, are studied on the basis of the harmonic-oscillator shells in the particle-hole model which is here Tamm-Dan off Approximation (TDA).

The Hamiltonian is diagonal zed in the presence of Michigan-three-Yukawa (M3Y) potential using the parameters of Reid.

The resulting eigenvalues are compared with the excitation energies, and the eigenvectors are used to calculate the longitudinal and transverse magnetic form factors.

To obtain a good agreement with the experimental data, more correlation is given to the ground state by including admixture from higher orbits.

To enhance the calculation of the inelastic electron scattering, core polarization effects are also taken into account by using effective values of charge and g-factors which are different from that of free nucleons.
