Ibtisam Marhoon Alsaffar is one of the first contemporary Iraqi Scholars who exerted their effort for Quranic expression.

Her efforts varied from the critical to the literary and to the quranic expression and its semantics.

Besides, she did manuscript reviews.

She produced more than twenty studies in different fields and more than fifty researches.

Due to this variety of studies, it came to be known that she had majored in literary studies.

Yet those interested in her will find that her heritage becomes the basis of her major book entitled Quranic Expressions in the scenes of Doomsday: a semantic aesthetic study.
