This study aims at examining the rules of selling impure items.

In fact, scholars disagree whether the purity of sold items is or is not necessary for the validity of the sale? Scholars have two sayings for this: one, the hanafi school: which states that it permissible to sell impure items; impurity of sold items is not a stipulation to the validity of the sale.

Two, the Maliki, shafi and ha mbali schools: the purity of the sold items is a necessary stipulation to the validity of the sale, thus nullifying the sale of impure items.

The researcher has concluded that selling impure items is permissible if we take into consideration the Islamic rules that enhance the good of the people through the use of items their Allah has made serviceable for mankind.
