Abstract EN

The Ethylacetate extract of Acacia saligna Labill leaves (Mimosaceae) showed radical scavenging activity in the 1,1-diphenyl -2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) decoloration assay.

Bioassay-guided isolation led to five known flavonoid compounds including Apigenin (A), Luteolin (B), (+) Catechin (C), Quercetrin (D) and Myricetrin (E).

The characterization of these compounds was achieved by various chromatographic and spectroscopic methods.
