Abstract EN

A new compound, K8Nb7As7O39, has been synthesized by solid-state reaction.

It crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P with unit-cell parameters a = 8.767 (4) Å, b = 12.260 (4) Å, c = 19.018 (4) Å, α = 106.530 (2) Å, β = 99.470(2) Å, γ = 90.460(2) Å and Z = 2.

The structure of the compound is solved and refined to R = 0.062 and ωR2 = 0.1540.

The structural study of K8Nb7As7O39 shows that the compound has a two-dimensional framework.
