تظل العدوى بميكروب السالمونيلا مشكلة هامة للإنسان و الحيوان على مستوى العالم .
و قد أجريت هذه الدراسة لإلقاء الضوء على مدة انتشار ميكروب السالمونيلا في العصافير الدورية و اليمام.
و قد تم العزل على ميكروب السالمونيلا طبقا لمواصفة الأيزو 6579 لعام 2002.
في هذا البحث تم فحص 220 عينة من مسحات المجمع ل 120 من العصافير الدورية من 10 طيور بنسبة 8.3 %، بينما في اليمام، كانت الطيور الإيجابية للسالمونيلا ( 3طيور) بنسبة 3 % و قد بين التصنيف السيرولوجي للمعزولات أن عترات السالمونيلا المعزولة من العصافير الدورية كانت عبارة عنسالمونيلا تيفيميوريم و سالمونيلا كنتاكي (1.67 %، 6.67 % على التوالي)، أما عترات السالمونيلا المعزولة من اليمام، فقد كانت جميعها سالمونيلا تيفيميوريم بنسبة 3 %.
Abstract EN
The present study was carried out to investigate the Salmonella se-rovars which may be transmitted by wild birds.
A total number of 120 house sparrows (Passer domesticus) and 100 Egyptian laughing doves (Streptopelia senegalensis aegyptiaca) were examined bacteriologically for presence of Salmonellae.
The prevalence rates of Salmonella in house sparrows and laughing doves were 8.3 % and 3 % respectively.
The prevalence of Salmonella among the total studied wild birds was 5.9 %.
Serological identification of the isolated serovars revealed that the isolation rate of Salmonella Kentucky was (6.67 %), and (0 %) from house sparrows and laughing doves respectively while Salmonella Ty-phimurium isolation rate was (1.67 %) and (3 %) from house sparrows laughing doves respectively.
