English Abstract
The new chalcone derivatives were synthesized based on Claisen -Schmidt condensation, starting from 3-acetyl-2, 5-dichlorothiophene (79) and 2-acetyl-5- chlorothiophene (81).
The latter compounds were prepared by Friedel-Crafts acylation of 2, 5-dichlorothiophene (78) and 2-chlorothiophene (80).
There after (79) and (81) were condensed with a series of five membered heterocyclic aldehydes in presence of potassium hydroxide to form chalcones (83 a-d) and (84 e-g).
Which upon the reaction with one equivalent of ethyl cyanoacetate and eight equivalents of ammonium acetate form 4,6-(diheteroaromatic)-3-carbonitrile - 2-oxo-l, 2- dihydropyridine Derivatives (86a-d) and (87 e, f).
The structures of these compounds were determined based on different spectroscopic techniques (]H , I3C NMR) and elemental analyses).
