English Abstract

A new series of l, 5-dialkyl-l, 2, 4-Triazole derivatives (51a-h), (52b-g), (53i, j), and (54k) were synthesized, eharcrizcd, and biologically evaluated.

Hydrazine derivatives were prepared by reaction of l, dikyl-l, 2, 4-triazole with different sulfonyl chlorides and carbonyl chlorides derivatives.

The prepared compounds were separated, purified, and their structures were confirmed by means of 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and elemental analysis (H, c, N, S).

The in vitro anti-bacterial activity of selected compounds, namely, (51c), (52d, g, e) were evaluated against the Gram-positive bacterial strains Staphylococcus aurous and Bacillus cereus, as well as the Gram-negative bacterial strains Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Shigella sp.

The antibacterial testing revealed that the compound (51c) was the most active a compound against Pseudomonas aeruginosa compared with Penicillin.
