English Abstract

The triplet and singlet low energy parameters of neutron-proton scattering on the basis of effective range approximation are determined.

To reproduce the experimental data of the deuteron we adjusted the total scattering cross section at zero energy and coherent scattering length which appeared to be very sensitive to the low energy parameters.

The best fit parameters were performed at incident neutron energy En = (0.5-0.9) MeV, which yields a quite good agreement value of the deuteron binding energy with experimental data.

As a theoretical test of the nuclear potential shape, the S-wave cross section of nucleon-nucleon scattering for various realistic potential (SAID database) is computed.

The results indicate that the influence of the potential on the low energy parameters is not essential.
