Abstract EN

Islamic Sharia maintains a superb approach towards countering crime within a short span of time.

In fact, this approach reflects superiority over all the approaches enshrined in previously – ordained Heavenly Scriptures.

In the similar vein, it has shown its supremacy over modern approaches.

The latter are characterised with man-made competitive legislations.

To all intents and purposes, such approaches are found deficient in inflicting penalties against potential criminals.

In addition, the penalties provided in man-made legislations are limited in scope.

Such penalties cover only one stage of human life _____ pre-death stage.

Conversely, the approach of Islamic Sharia on fighting crimes is more comprehensive.

Penalties incorporated in this approach cover both phases of human life _____ pre-death phase and post-death phase.

Against contrary approaches, the approach of Islamic Sharia has certain meritorious characteristics.

The following, in summation, are in order: • Islamic approach is preventive in nature.

Nevertheless, it contains curative dimension as well.

• Islamic approach seeks to efface the crime from its root.

• Islamic approach incurs relatively lesser losses and meager financial costs.

• Islamic approach is compatible to human nature and human characteristics.

• Islamic approach has exposed, in categorical terms, the failure of Western approaches.

An example may be cited.

During the year 1973, the number of murders occurred in the U.S.A were over twenty thousands.

The value of the property stolen was over 2600 million dollars.

In the subsequent years, the wave of crime rate remained on constant rise.

The present study expounds its discussions in five sections.

First sheds light on the disciplining of self-concept.

Second suggests the identification of factors leading to crimes.

In the conclusive section, the author shows the importance of both preserving and the maintenance of information confidentiality.

To attain this objective, the most modern technologies and electronic systems should be mobilised.

The author stresses on the development of such capabilities at various research centers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
