Abstract EN

The present study aims at knowing the effect of using two teaching Strategies: (Example - Definition - Non-Example) and (Definition - Example - Non-Example) on the achievement of the first stage students Technical Institut-Basrah in mathematics.

The research sample contained (105) students (male and Female) distributed into two experiment group in Technical institut-Basrah.

The first experiment group contained (52) students (male and Female) who have been tough by the strategy (Example - Definition - Non-Example), while the second had (53) students (male and Female) who have been tough by the strategy (Definition - Example — Non-Example), during the first course study (Three months long) the subjects of the course, were (Vectors, Type of function, implicit derivation, derivative function, Geometric and Physical application on derivative).

In order to know and measure the range of a multi choice test containing (50) paragraph have been made, Each paragraph consist of 4 answer from which only one is correct, Besides, T-test have been used for independent samples, in order to define the differences between the achievement mean of the individuals of the groups and analyzing the results of the test achievement to the sample of research at the level (0.05).

and the results arc statistical significant differences between the achievement mean of the {male and female) students of the first experiment group and the achievement mean of the second group to the students of first experimental group.
