و تم حساب المعايير البيئية للإصابة أثناء المدة من شهر مارس 2009م و لغاية يونيو 2010م حيث كانت نسبة الإصابة 40 % و شدة الإصابة 1-12 (3.17).
تمت مناقشة علاقة الإصابة بكل من طول الأسماك و جنسها، و تفضيل موقع الإصابة.
Abstract EN
The monogenean parasite Chauhanellus indicus Rastogi, Kumar and Singh, 2004 is described here for the first time from the gills of the sea catfish Tachysurus dussumieri (Valenciennes) from the Red Sea coast of Yemen.
The ecological indexes of infection during the period from March 2009 and June 2010 were calculated as prevalence of 40 % and intensity of 1-12 (3.17).
The relation of the infection with both fish length and sex, and preference of site of infection were discussed.
