يعود النوع Bestiolina Arabica للعائلة Paracalanidae و الذي تم تسجيله لأول مرة في المياه المويلحة في خور الزبير وشط العرب جنوب العراق وقد تم أخذ قياسات نماذج متعددة منه كما تم رسم و تصوير نماذج من الذكور و الإناث إضافة إلى التطرق إلى الظروف البيئية للحيوان و كمياته العددية و سيادته و مقارنة نماذج من بيئته هذه مع ما تم وصفه من بيئته الأصلية وقد لوحظ أن هناك اختلافات بين نماذجنا و النماذج الموصوفة من بيئة الكويت.
Abstract EN
Bestiolina arabica, is calanoid copepod belonging to the family Paracalanidae, recorded for the first time from the brackish waters of Khor Al-Zubair canal, and Shatt Al-Arab River Southern Iraq.
Measurements, illustrations, photos, remarks, dominance and ecology are demonstrated, as well as specimens of B.
arabica from Iraqi marine and brackish waters were comparing with those of NW Arabian Gulf.
