يقدم هذا البحث النتائج العملية لتجارب تم إجراؤها على نموذجين بمقياس 100 : 1 لمبنى الاختبارات في جامعة تكساس، أحدهما بحواف حادة و الآخر بحواف مستديرة داخل نفق هوائي تحت ظروف سريان مختلفة.

و قد أظهرت نتائج التجارب أن مناطق الانفصال، و إعادة الدوران تتواجد على السطح في حالة السريان المتعامد و عند الجوانب في حالة السريان المائل.

كما لوحظ تأثير هائل للجوانب المستديرة على مواصفات ضغط المائع.

و ظهر أيضا تأثير القيم المختلفة لدوران الحواف على الضغط و مستوى اضطراب السريان.

Abstract EN

This paper gives the results from experiments conducted on 1 : 100 scale sharp and round-edged models of Texas Tech University Test Building in a wind tunnel under different flow conditions.

The results from experiments show that separation and recirculation regions exist on rooftops at normal incidence and corner vortices form at an oblique incidence.

There is an enormous effect of rounding of roof edges on the flow and pressure characteristics.

Different magnitude of rounding is influencing the pressures and turbulence levels differently.
