تم تقدير جودة الهواء نتيجة انطلاق الملوثات من خمس مداخن في محطة توليد الكهرباء بالتنعيم بمكة المكرمة, و ذلك باستخدام نموذج جاوس للتشتت في ظروف مختلفة.

و تستخدم هذه المحطة زيت الديزل.

و قد تم الاستعانة بنتائج الأرصاد لأيام متتالية في منتصف كل شهر لعام 2003م.

و قد تم تقدير الكمية المنبعثة لكل من أكاسيد النيتروجين, و أول أكسيد الكربون, و ثاني أكسيد الكبريت, و الجسيمات الكلية, و ثاني أكسيد الكربون, و تم حساب التركيز كل 100 متر لمسافة 10 كيلومتر.

و قد تم تقدير أسوأ حالات جودة الهواء في اتجاه الريح.

و قد أوضحت النتائج أن تركيزات أكاسيد النيتروجين تعدت القيم القياسية.

و يمكن استخدام هذه النتائج لوضع توجيهات للتنبؤ بتركيز الملوثات في البيئة الحضرية.

Abstract EN

Air quality due to the release of pollutants from five stacks in an electric power plant within Al-Taneem, Makkah City, has been computed using Gaussian Dispersion Model under different conditions.

The electric power plant is using diesel oil.

To estimate probable air quality, the meteorological data for consecutive days in the middle of each month of 2003 were used.

The emission quantity of NOx, CO, SO2, PM and CO2 were estimated and the concentration of these pollutants computed at a distance of every 100m up to 10 km.

The air quality in the worst case was estimated in downwind distance.

The agreement between the dispersion model and field experiment are closed for the purpose of practical applications.

The results showed that concentrations of NOx had exceeded the standards for downwind distance.

The results can be used to establish guidelines for predicting pollutants' concentrations in urban environment.
