يعد بتر الأطراف من الأشكال الأكثر شيوعا للعوق الجسدي في البلدان التي تعرضت إلى كوارث الحروب المتكررة و ألازمات الداخلية و التي بدورها تسهم في زيادة عدد حالات العوق بسبب البتر بمختلف الأشكال و الأعمار و بصورة خاصة الأشخاص الأصغر سنا.
و كنتيجة لهذا العوق يظهر جليا وجود العديد من المشاكل في مختلف المجالات و الأوجه، الجسدية، النفسية و الاجتماعية و التي تؤثر على نوعية حياة مرضى البتر و عوائلهم.
الهدف : تقييم نوعية الحياة لمرضى البتر و علاقتها ببعض المتغيرات.
المنهجية : دراسة وصفية أجريت في مركز الموصل للتأهيل لتقييم نوعية الحياة لمرضى البتر خلال الفترة من 10 / 4 لغاية 30 / 6 / 2002.
عينة الدراسة تكونت من (١٦٠) مريضا لديه بتر في الطرف السفلي، يراجعون بصورة دورية مركز الموصل للتأهيل في مدينة الموصل.
تم جمع المعلومات باستخدام أداة (المشكلات الجسدية، المشكلات النفسية، المشكلات الاجتماعية).
تم تحديد مصداقية و ثبات أداة الدراسة و تم التأكد منها عبر إجراء دراسة تمهيدية أولا و ثم عبر عرض أداة البحث على (١٦) من الخبراء في مختلف الاختصاصات.
النتائج : نتائج الدراسة أوضحت أن هنالك العديد من المشاكل في كل نواحي حياة مرضى البتر.
المشكلات النفسية جاءت بالمرتبة الأولى التي تواجه مرضى البتر أكثر من باقي المجالات.
بينما المجالات الجسدية و الاجتماعية تأتي تباعا من حيث المشاكل التي تحدث خلال حياة مرضى البتر.
أظهرت الدراسة أيضا أن هنالك فروقات نوعية بين نوعية حياة مرضى البتر ضمن متغيرات (العمر، الحالة الاجتماعية، التحصيل الدراسي، و موقع السكن، مستوى البتر، سبب البتر، و استعمال المعينات).
التوصيات : و اعتمادا على النتائج أعلاه فان الدراسة أوصت بإنشاء مراكز متخصصة لضحايا الحرب، كذلك اعتماد برامج تدريبية كمشاغل و ورش للتأهيل المهني و العلاجي، و برامج تدريبية معدة لعوائل مرضى البتر حول توفر الرعاية و تحسن نوعية حياتهم.
Abstract EN
Aims : To assess the quality of life (Q.o.L) of amputee patients and the relation with some variables.
Methodology : A descriptive study was carried out at Al-Mosul rehabilitation center during the period from 10th April to 30th June 2004.
The sample of the study consisted of 160 amputee patients with lower limb amputation selected randomly.
The data was collected by using assessment tool which consists of (66) items distributed to three domains (physical, psychological and social).
Results : The results of the study show that there are many problems in all areas through the amputee patient's life.
The psychological problems come in the first rank among problems faced by amputee patients, while the physical and social aspects come later throughout the amputee patient life.
Significant differences were found between the quality of life of amputee patient and variables of study (age, social status, level of education, urbanicity, level of amputation, reason of amputation and using assistance device).
Recommendations : The study recommended to establish rehabilitation centers to accommodate war victims ; training program should be carried out in special workshop for vocational rehabilitation therapy and educational programs for families of amputee patients for care to provide and improve quality of their life.
