Abstract EN

This study aims to explore the concept of misogyny in August Strindberg's play Comrades.

Comrades is a play that is bearing a satirical title.

It is a comedy about marriage in a situation similar to that in Strindberg's most famous play The Father; husband and wife are shown in a sharper antithesis of character; a man of pure character and ability foiled by a woman who in all respects is his inferior, yet arrogantly determined to dominate him.
